Bound volume (1841, with a few later entries) contains a genealogy of the Logan family of Scotland and South Carolina "taken from the old family Bible" by William Logan, as well as a record of the related Daniel family. A watercolor painting of the Logan family coat of arms is pasted into the book. Also included are photocopied pages which include a typewritten transcription of the bound volume, notes on later Logan family history, and clippings of Logan family obituaries.

South Carolina attorney, plantation owner, and librarian. He was the son of Dr. George Logan (1751-1793) and Honoria Logan.
